Donations may be made by both institutions and private persons. If requested, the Library may draw up a document of acceptance and/or a list of donations. However, the Library reserves itself the right to perform a selection of donations received, which shall be governed by the following criteria:

  • conformity with the profile of its collections
  • number of copies of a given title held
  • physical condition of the publication

Donations rejected during selection may be passed on to other libraries or given away free of charge to readers, whereas donations that are in a state of disrepair may be scrapped.
