Sławomir Mańko, born in 1979, historian, graduate of the Institute of History at the University of Warsaw (2003, with a doctorate in 2009). Worked at the Foundation for the Protection of Jewish Heritage [Fundacja Ochrony Dziedzictwa Żydowskiego] (2004–2009), and then at the Warsaw Municipal Archives. Holder of a scholarship from the Pilecki Institute (2019–2021). He co-operates academically with the Jewish Historical Institute, the POLIN Museum of the History of Polish Jews, the Museum of the History of the Polish People’s Movement and the Institute of National Remembrance. He specializes in the socio-political history of Poland in the 20th Century with particular focus on the history of rural areas and national minorities. The author of several dozen publications on the history of the people’s movement and the history of Jews.
