From 6 January, Aberdeen City Libraries in Scotland will host our "Passports For Life" exhibition

From 6 January, Aberdeen City Libraries in Scotland will host our "Passports For Life" exhibition.

The purpose of the exhibition is to present the role of the Polish government-in-exile and the Polish Underground State in informing the world about the Holocaust and the actions taken to save the Jews. Visitors will learn the fascinating story of the Ładoś Group - Polish diplomats and Jewish activists who issued false passports and citizenship certificates for Latin American countries, giving their holders the chance to be placed in internment camps and exchanged for German prisoners of war.
 
The presentation is taking place as part of events organized by Aberdeen City Council to mark the International Day of Commemoration in Memory of the Victims of the Holocaust, and is being held thanks to coopereation with Polish Association Aberdeen and Polish Cultural Institute.
