Guided tours of permanent exibitions - Instytut Pileckiego
The history workshops listed below have been designed in accordance with the core curriculum for elementary school grades 4–6. They are based on topics from 20th-century history and Polish language education, while also extending beyond the standard school curriculum.
We particularly encourage history and Polish language teachers, as well as religion, ethics, and homeroom teachers, to register their groups for the workshops, as teaching about totalitarian regimes also involves addressing complex social and educational issues.

We invite you to a workshop dedicated to the turbulent era of the two world wars, during which the Institute’s patron, Witold Pilecki, lived. As a soldier, he took part in these struggles while serving in as many as seven military units. What were these units called, where did they fight for Poland, and which medals was Pilecki awarded? You will learn all this and more during our workshop!

A World of Inverted Values
During workshops held throughout the exhibition - which tells the story of Poles murdered for helping Jews during the German occupation - students will learn about the realities of the occupation in Poland and the biographies of selected individuals commemorated as part of the “Called by name” program.
