On the occasion of Christmas and the upcoming New Year, I would like to wish you health and prosperity. May this special time, at once festive and solemn, be filled with an atmosphere of mutual respect and kindness, and, while bringing respite, grant you the strength necessary to work.
The Pilecki Institute, inspired by the extraordinary mission of its namesake, researches the most difficult pages of human history on a daily basis, documenting both pain and loss, as well as the exceptional strength of the human spirit in the face of war - a lesson that never ceases to be relevant. In this special time, I sincerely hope that you find a moment to reflect on the values that form the foundation of our society, and to appreciate the significance of peace, security and freedom.
