I Would Like a Paraguayan Passport - Instytut Pileckiego

I Would Like a Paraguayan Passport

The exhibition presents the remarkable story of Polish diplomats who, in cooperation with Jewish organizations, issued illegal Latin American passports to European Jews.

These passports, delivered to occupied countries across Europe, saved the lives of at least 800 people. Part of the exhibition is devoted to diplomats from other countries who used their status and resources to carry out similar efforts.

During the workshops, students learn about these fascinating stories, examine carefully prepared replicas of Second World War-era documents, work in groups, and independently identify the most important information within the exhibition. The session concludes with a joint discussion on the relationship between ethics and law.
