Bereits 1942: Die ersten Meldungen über den systematisch durchgeführten Judenmord. Polnische Botschafter in Bern, die unter der Obhut von Alexander Ładoś gefälschte Pässe ausstellten, um Menschen jüdischer Herkunft zu retten, möchten die Welt aufrütteln.

„Zahlreicher authentischer Informationen zufolge wurde vor Kurzem ein Teil des Warschauer Ghettos liqudiert, indem beinahe hunderttausend Juden bestialisch ermordert wurden; die Massenmorde gehen weiter, aus den Leichen werden Seife und Kunstdünger hergestellt. Ein ähnliches Schicksal trifft die Deportierten aus anderen Ländern. Nur durch energische Repressalien seitens der USA können diese Verfolgungen verhindert werden. Tut alles, was in Eurer Macht steht, um eine solche Reaktion möglichst schnell auszulösen, macht die Presse, die Öffentlichkeit und die Staatsmänner darauf aufmerksam.
Benachrichtigt Lubawiczer, Silver, Wise, Einstein, Klatskin, Goldman, Thomas Mann sowie andere. Erwähnt bloß nicht meinen Namen! Bitte um Bestättigung des Erhalts der Depesche.“
