Guided tours of permanent exibitions - Instytut Pileckiego
Welcome to the Gallery of the Pilecki Institute at Dom Bez Kantów!
Elementary school eighth-graders and high school students are invited to participate in educational activities at our two permanent exhibitions.
Permanent exhibitions of the Pilecki Institute in the Gallery at Dom Bez Kantów:
The Exhibition “Called by Name”
The exhibition tells the story of Poles who were murdered for helping Jews during the German occupation. Visitors will learn about the complexities of life for Poles and Jews under the occupation, and the dangers that any decision to help Jews entailed.
The Exhibition “The Choice to Save Lives”
The exhibition presents the fascinating story of Polish diplomats who, in cooperation with Jewish circles, engaged in issuing illegal passports of Latin American countries to European Jews. The passports, which were delivered to various countries of occupied Europe, saved the lives of at least 800 people. A part of the exhibition is devoted to diplomats of other countries who used their status and capabilities to carry out similar actions.
Educational offerings accompanying the exhibitions include:
