Day II | "The Future of Central and East European Studies in the Light of Russia’s War of Aggression..." Day II
The Future of Central and East European Studies in the Light of Russia’s War of Aggression Against Ukraine was the topic of the conference, which took place in Warsaw from October 17 to October 19. Watch the video from the second day of the conference.
The aim of the conference was to bring together a community of international scholars. During 19 sessions, they presented a wide range of topics concerning changes in the socio-political situation in the east of Europe, and also discussed the possible future shape of research and public discourse on our part of Europe. Following Russia’s aggression against Ukraine, the hitherto dominant Russian-centric views on Central and Eastern Europe (including Poland) have changed in Western academia. What do they look like? How will they evolve? Will the old views be discarded for good by the academic world in the West? This is what our invited guests discussed.
