A historian specializing in the contemporary history of Poland, and a Doctor of the Humanities. In the years 2009–2011, he served as the Director of the Office of Public Education at the Institute of National Remembrance, and later, until 2016, as the President of the Institute. Since 2022, Doctor Kamiński is the Director of the National Ossoliński Institute.
