The objective of the project consists in researching the fate of Jews – Polish citizens, who during World War II resided in the four initial districts of the General Government. All phases of the Shoah will be taken into consideration: closure in ghettos, the liquidation of ghettos, hiding on the so-called Aryan side, and incarceration in camps and extermination. Polish-Jewish relations of the period will also be analyzed with reference to the administrative structures introduced by the Germans in the General Government.
