Grzegorz Kucharczyk - Instytut Pileckiego
Professor of the Humanities and research fellow at the Pilecki Institute’s Center for Totalitarian Studies since 2021.
He specializes in German history and Polish-German relations in the 19th and 20th centuries.
He has recently published, among others:
- Długi Kulturkampf. Niemieckie i pruskie wojny kulturowe przeciw Polsce 1795–1918 (Warszawa 2020);
- Prusy. Pięć wieków (Warszawa 2020);
- III Rzesza Niemiecka. Nienawiść i nowoczesność (Kraków 2021);
- Hohenzollernowie. Władcy Prus (Warszawa 2022);
- Piekielni sąsiedzi (with K. Rak, Warszawa 2024).
In the years 2021–2024, while working at the Center for Totalitarian Studies, he implemented a project related to the study of the history of anti-Polonism in the Weimar Republic.
Grzegorz Kucharczyk was also the Chairman of the Council of the National Program for the Development of the Humanities (2022–2024), a member of the Council of the Institute of Western Affairs (2016–2023), and a member of the Council of the Foundation for Polish-German Cooperation (2016–2024). As a representative of the President of the Republic of Poland, he sits on the Board of Curators of the Zakłady Kórnickie Foundation.
