Tomasz Gajownik - Instytut Pileckiego
Prof. Tomasz Gajownik, graduate of history at the Nicolaus Copernicus University in Toruń. Currently an assistant professor at the Institute of History at the University of Warmia and Mazury in Olsztyn. His research interests include the history of the 20th Century, particularly the history of the Baltic states, of Polish military intelligence in the years 1918–1945 and of the Third Reich. The author of several dozen publications, including a monograph dedicated to the actions of the Second Department of Polish General Staff in Lithuania in the years 1921–1939 and the informational/indexing work of Polish military attachés in the Baltic states in the interwar period. Winner of the “W. Pobóg-Malinowski Best Historical Debut” award in 2008, organized by the Institute of History at the Polish Academy of Sciences and the Institute of National Remembrance, holder of a scholarship from the Lanckoroński Foundation.
